Walls 03:54
I'm trying to lay my weapons down Believe I can stop fighting now But I fear I've forgotten how To let somebody in Cautious optimism, when you take me by the hand You smile like it's nothing, not part of any plan And I wanna let my walls down, but they've taken years to build It's safer here inside them, so I'm clinging to them still Secret praying you'll be patient, you'll await their tumbling down But I've learned from past experience, no one waits around I'm trying to lay my weapons down Believe I can stop fighting now But I fear I've forgotten how To let somebody in See I've found a way of living where I'm fine all on my own Filled my life with friends and laughter, exploring the unknown But you're waking something in me I'd frozen deep inside Asleep but not forgotten no matter how I tried And I want it more than anything, want it to be real I'm fighting with myself to let go, fall in and just feel I'm trying to lay my weapons down Believe I can stop fighting now But I fear I've forgotten how To let somebody in I don't know I don't know I don't know how much I want you Don't get close now, not too close now I don't know I don't know I don't know how long I'll want you Don't get close now, not too close now I don't know I don't know I don't know how much I want you Don't get close now, not too fast now I don't know I don't know I don't know how long I'll want you Don't get close now, not too fast now I'm trying to lay my weapons down Believe I can stop fighting now But I fear I've forgotten how To let somebody in

Heart Home 04:07
Sun was rising Last time I saw you You were walking Into the light If I need you Will you stay here I may leave you But not tonight Don't believe me Well trust your instincts Make up your mind And make it right Take my heart home Take me home Take me Take my heart home Take me home Don't leave me now I need you now I need you now Don't leave me I need you now Don't leave me now Don't leave me now I need you Don't leave me now I need you now I need you now Don't leave me I need you now Don't leave me now Don't leave me now I need you You say we're just friends Well I might argue To change your mind Just for tonight You see I'm asking Because I'm lonely But just tonight Take my heart home Take me home Take me Take my heart home Take me home Don't leave me now I need you now I need you now Don't leave me I need you now Don't leave me now Don't leave me now I need you Don't leave me now I need you now I need you now Don't leave me I need you now Don't leave me now Don't leave me now I need you Take my heart home Take me home Take me Take my heart home Take me home

about

The Colour Coast came together in late 2016 in Los Angeles and consists of members with roots in Canada, Argentina, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Their songs inject tropical and Latin dance rhythms into wide melodies to create a sound they believe pays tribute to the range in their cultural backgrounds and musical influences. The end result is a brand of indie rock peppered with the likes of classic disco and cumbia.
